One Direction Debut album has FINALLY been announced! And they are set to battle Westlife for Christmas chart success!
Both groups have scheduled their new albums’ release for the same day of November 21! A coveted release date at the height of the Christmas shopping period that usually leads to a Christmas Day number 1.
Westlife will unveil their new Greatest Hits collection after leaving Simon Cowell‘s Syco record label earlier this year and joining Sony.
Meanwhile, Cowell has announced that his new boyband and X Factor finalists One Direction will release their highly-anticipated debut album in the same week.
The pop teens are currently number one in the UK & Irish singles chart with their new song ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, which became the fastest-selling single of the year so far.
Cowell has reportedly laid down plans to take One Direction to America and sign a US record deal

one direction’s album is also out on the same day as big time rush’s ‘Elevate’! That’s three new albums in one day!
And westlife’ll get more love because it’ll be their last album, right?
SIMON STOP TRYING TO TAKE THEM TO AMERICA THEY ARE BETTER IN THE UK!!!!!! I HATE SIMON
But what about the Americans who love them? That’s sorta selfish….
I do agree I love one direction and we don’t get to see them very often in America can’t we all share?
That’s a little rude, don’t you think? Us Americans have the right to see them too, we can all share. Haven’t we shared a ton of artists with the UK and everywhere else?
